Deleting a Broker

1. When you first enter the Broker option a Select An Option window will appear, listing all brokers within the system; scroll to the broker whose information you would like to delete and press Enter to select.

2. Command options will appear:

• Change – Select Change to make changes to the broker.
• Delete – Select Delete to delete a broker.
• Next Page/Prior Page – Select Next Page/Prior Page to move forward one page or back one page.
• Update – Select Update to save changes.
• Contacts(K) – Select Contacts(K) to add a contact for the broker. See eContact for more information on adding contacts.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Select A Broker window. The following message will display: "Broker was changed, exit without updating? No/Yes."
  • Select no if you do not want to exit.
  • Select yes to exit and return to the Select A Broker window.

Select Delete.

3. The following message will display: "Delete this Broker? No/Yes" will appear:

• Select no if you do not want to delete this broker.
• Select yes to select the broker.

Select Yes.

The broker has now been deleted from the list of brokers.

Note: You can only delete a broker if it is not assigned to a customer or not in any transaction records. If a broker is associated with transaction records a message will appear: "Cannot delete: Associated records found in XXXXX. Press space bar to continue."
